Overview
The purpose of this class is to teach our young people how to tell their own story on camera through filming, framing, and visual storytelling. They will learn how to be their own spokesperson, and how to present their ideas concisely and with confidence. Students will take away skills in photography, composition and lighting, audio production, sound recording and podcasting, video production, covering a story, interviewing subjects, public speaking, and how to create impact using the media of photography and videography.
I have planned two workshops. They will each be 3 hours long and will take place at the YPT Education building. Students will arrange their own transport to the YPT reservation.
Each student will receive camera equipment and accessories. I will provide snacks and drinks for each workshop.
**This program is intended for ACE enrolled students in the 11 th and 12 th grades.
